For quite a while now, Luminotes has allowed you to send out invitation emails for your wiki. That way friends and colleagues can view or edit your notebook. But getting an invite email through to its intended recipient can sometimes be a pain.
Maybe the friend you're inviting has a spam filter that erroneously blocks the email. Or maybe they see the email, but don't realize what it is and delete it. Perhaps email is just too 2003 for you, and you'd prefer to send out your invite links by instant message or something even faster.
Well, now you can! I've just updated Luminotes so that whenever you click that "share" link on the right side of the page and invite people to your wiki, you'll be shown the invite link that they'll actually receive. Then, if you like, you can cut and paste that invite link and get it to them by instant message, your own email, carrier pigeon, or whatever means you like. The point is that now you can decide what to do with the invite link yourself.
Here's how it looks:
And of course you're welcome to just ignore the new invite link and rely on good ol' email too. It's entirely up to you.
Enjoy! And have a good weekend.
Dan
