export your wiki to a CSV spreadsheet

I just released Luminotes 1.5.1, including a new version of Luminotes Desktop. This release includes a new CSV export feature (and improved CSV importing), so now you can export your entire wiki notebook to a CSV spreadsheet. This will allow you to import your Luminotes notes into other programs or even other Luminotes installations.

For example, you could export your notebook from Luminotes.com to a CSV file, and then import that file to your shiny new Luminotes Desktop installation. Or you could go the other direction, exporting from Luminotes Desktop and then importing into Luminotes.com.

I developed this new export feature with the goal of giving you full access to your own notes and data. You should never be locked into using one program just because that's where all your data resides. It's simply your right to do whatever you want with your own notes and files, anytime you want, and without restrictions.

So with this in mind, you can expect to see future Luminotes releases include even more support for importing and exporting your notes in different formats, including optional online synchronization between Luminotes Desktop and Luminotes.com.

By the way, if you're looking for the "download as html" link that used to be located in the upper right, look for the new "export" link instead. You can still download your wiki as a stand-alone HTML web page, but now you have the choice of exporting it as a CSV spreadsheet as well.
